My son Paolo “Pow” Barredo, now 10 years old, started boxing at the young age of 6 and started competing in shows and tournaments when he turned 8. We met Larry and acquired his services as a strength and conditioning coach for Pow when he had about 9 fights. He had just won the SoCal State Championships at the novice division followed by winning the Desert Showdown as an open fighter. In order to keep winning, we had to be strong and in the best shape possible, so we contacted Larry. Since Larry has joined the team, Pow has seen noticeable increases in punching strength, speed, and power.   As of today, he has 28 fights and has dominated at several tournaments including the Desert Showdown, the Sapphire Tournament, Oxnard National PALs, SoCal State Championships, and most recently the Junior Olympic Nationals in West Virginia.   Since teaming up with Larry, we have also noticed a significant change in Paolo’s physique as well as gaining strength at his fighting weight. There is no doubt that Larry and his sport performance program have been an invaluable part of Pow’s success in his chosen sport. Also, his increased stamina has helped him win at the highest levels by taking the championship at the local and regional levels of the Junior Olympics, qualifying him to compete with the best in the nation at the nationals in West Virginia.
